Neil’s path to becoming a therapist was shaped by personal experience. Drawing inspiration from his background as a competitive athlete, and his intimate connection to nature, he emphasizes holistic balance and resilience across mind, body, and spirituality. Following the end of his collegiate football career, the loss of a close friend led him into a period of deep reflection and inner healing. During this time he explored mindfulness, nature immersion, contemplative practices, breathwork, Buddhist philosophy, nutritional psychiatry, and psychedelic-assisted therapy. Then while working in a functional medicine clinic providing integrative bodywork and movement rehabilitation, he witnessed firsthand how emotional and psychological stress often intertwine with physical pain and chronic illness, further solidifying his commitment towards integrative mental health care.
He holds a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is clinically trained in HeartMath biofeedback, Internal Family Systems, mindfulness-based approaches, nutrition coaching, manual therapy and functional movement rehab. This includes over a decade of experience in health and wellness, including working in functional medicine, physical rehabilitation, and sauna and cold exposure practices. Through mindful living and intentional self-care, Neil continues to personally explore the optimization of human experience and the mind-body connection. This personal journey informs an empathetic, client-centered approach, offering a safe and grounded space for individuals to reconnect with themselves and move toward greater equanimity, wisdom, and clarity in everyday life.
