Insurance

Starting therapy is a significant step toward personal growth and well-being. It’s essential to understand how investment in your mental health fits into your life financially. This page provides you with information on insurance coverage, payment options, and how to maximize your benefits to support your journey with us.

Insurance & Payment Options

In-Network Insurance Coverage:

  • We are currently contracted with UnitedHealthCare and Aetna. This includes direct billing for any plans under these providers (excluding Medica), covering individual therapy, couples therapy, and certain specialized services.

  • Please contact us before your first appointment for an eligibility check to fully understand your coverage and any copays or deductibles involved.

Out-of-Network Benefits:

  • For clients with other insurance providers, We are considered an out-of-network provider. While we cannot bill these providers directly, We are happy to help you navigate your out-of-network benefits.

  • Many clients successfully use their Health Savings Account (HSA) or Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) to manage their investment in therapy. We provide all necessary documentation for you to submit for reimbursement.

Specialized Services

Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) and Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy:

  • These services offer unique approaches to therapy. Due to their specialized nature, the costs may vary, and some parts of these services may be eligible for out-of-network reimbursement, HSA, or HRA usage.

  • For detailed information on how these therapies can be financed, please reach out directly. We’re here to provide you with detailed guidance and support every step of the way.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer free consultations?

Yes, we offer a free consult to check the fit of the therapist-client relationship.

How can I schedule an appointment?

To schedule an appointment, you can use our online booking system, available on our website. Our administrative staff will assist you in finding a convenient time for your session.

Do you offer virtual services?

Yes, we offer virtual services for clients who prefer to attend sessions remotely. This allows for flexible scheduling and access to therapy from the comfort of your own home.

What should I expect during my first session?

During your first session, you will meet with your therapist to discuss your concerns and goals for therapy. This initial meeting is an opportunity to establish a rapport and create a personalized treatment plan.

What are your fees and do you accept insurance?

Our fees vary depending on the type of service and the therapist you see. We accept a range of insurance plans and also offer self-pay options. For specific information regarding fees and insurance, please contact our office.

How often do I need to attend therapy? What’s the time commitment?

We usually see folks anywhere between 2x a week to every two weeks, and generally follow the pace the client sets for this. Most commonly we are seeing folks weekly. This may change throughout our time working together and should remain as an open conversation to allow for the fluidity. If we are working on heavy topics such as trauma processing, life changes, etc., we usually suggest meeting no less than weekly.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance. This allows us to offer the time slot to another client. Late cancellations or missed appointments may incur a fee.

Are my sessions confidential?

Yes, all counseling sessions are confidential. We adhere to strict privacy standards and ethical guidelines to ensure that your personal information and discussions remain private.

How can counseling help me?

Counseling can help you gain insight into your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and develop coping strategies to manage life’s challenges. It provides a safe and supportive environment to explore your concerns and work towards personal growth and emotional well-being.
